This red ale from Microbrasserie de Lac Saint-Jean is full of roasted flavour but is still light enough to be an easy drinking ale. The appearance is surprisingly dark for a red ale with aContinue reading
Cameron’s Ambear Red Ale (5%)
Smooth red ale from Cameron’s Brewing in Oakville, Ontario. Light ruby in colour with a smooth malty body and some citrus hops to finish. There is very little aftertaste which makes this ale perfect forContinue reading
Barnstormer Cirrus Session Pale Ale (4.5%)
Very easy drinking pale ale from Barnstormer Brewing in Barrie, Ontario. The ale is a great combination of a European wheat beer body and a North American IPA hopped finish. Initial hints of smooth tropicalContinue reading
Muskoka Summerweiss (5%)
Unfiltered Weiss by Muskoka which I was eager to try. Sadly I was disappointed by how light the beer is. Being unfiltered I expected more flavour but it was pretty watery. Good for drinking a large quantity but lacking flavour and body.
Maisel’s Weisse (5.2%)
Hefe-weissbier with a nice rich wheat body and a very satisfying amount of flavour. Very similar to other German wheat beers but maybe a touch more sweetness. Worth buying again? Yes
Belfast Black Dry Stout (4.2%)

Durlacher Hof Hefeweissbier Dunkel (5.3%)
When poured the beer is medium brown and a little cloudy with a foamy head. The aroma is pretty good and promises a full bodied beer. The flavour is lighter than expected with hints ofContinue reading
Andaman Gold Special (6.5%)
Stronger than standard lager from Myanmar which is standard pale yellow with minimal head. Nothing special really just an inoffensive lager with slightly more alcohol than usual. The finish could be smoother but in 40°CContinue reading
